Voluntary organized team activities (OTAs) are a three-week program that the Denver Broncos are now in their second week of. The second week runs from May 28 to May 30. Week 3 runs from June 3 until June 6.
Nine players, including their Pro Bowl offensive weapon who will persist in holding out, have missed the first week of organized team activities thus far.
Courtland Sutton has missed the beginning of OTAs and has not participated in April’s voluntary workouts.
Sutton’s $40.8 million, four-year contract is currently in its third year. His base pay is $13 million, with a guaranteed $2 million, and his cap hit is $17,395,576 in 2024. In addition, he will receive a basic salary of $13.5 million, with no guarantees and a $17,825,000 cap hit in 2025.
According to Josh Buckhalter of Heavy, Fowler stated, “He’s due about $13.6 million in cash this year.” “He hopes to see that increase, possibly to a range of $15–$16 million.” If they can locate a sweet spot, we’ll watch.
His head coach is not worried that he missed the OTAs.
Despite the wide receiver from the Pro Bowl missing OTAs, Sean Payton is not worried.

An update regarding the disagreement over the contract
According to Jeremy Fowler, the Broncos have communicated with Sutton’s representatives, but no significant movement has been achieved.
Sutton and his representatives have been in communication with the Denver Broncos. Not much progress has been made yet. Therefore, it’s possible that he won’t attend the OTAs, even if they were hoping he would.
