ESPN: Alabama man formally confirmed he has decommitted from the team, following his earlier claims…

One more for Kalen DeBoer and his staff in Alabama. It really is a gigantic one. Michael Carroll, a four-star offensive lineman, has committed to Alabama, according to Bama247. During his official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend, the 6-foot-6, 315-pound player saw enough to shut it down and support the Crimson Tide. He was slated to have official visits to Penn State and Michigan at the end of the month, in addition to his official visit to Georgia last weekend.

This multi-day excursion was The Capstone’s third visit since the coaching transition and its first since the A-Day tour, where Alabama was considered the front-runner after the trip.

Carroll, who spearheaded his recruitment, is Chris Kapilovic’s first offensive line commit of the 2025 cycle. According to the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings, Alabama has up to 13 commitments and the third-best recruiting class. Mal Waldrep, an in-state recruit and fellow offensive line prospect, is one of the main targets the Crimson Tide appear to be pursuing. Waldrep spent the weekend on campus for an official visit.
