Oklahoma junior Gracen Halton named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week
Oklahoma junior linebacker Grayson Halton became the second OU player in as many weeks to earn an SEC weekly award.Halton was named conference Player of the Week for his performance in the Sooners’ 16-12 Week 2 win over Houston. OU’s Tyler Keltner was the Special Teams Player of the Week during the season opener.The 6-foot, 2-inch, 285-pound D-lineman from San Diego, Calif. enter 2024 with 3.5 jobs for loss and no funding. He had a field day against the Houston Cougars, making several tackles for a loss, including a safety late in the fourth quarter and a fourth down sack that resulted in an 11-yard loss.Two weeks into the 2024 season, Holton is second in the SEC among defensive backs with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks for a loss of 20 yards.
