Zach Geloff hit an early home run, Max Shuman and Nick Allen drove in 12 runs to lead the Oakland Athletics to a 4-3 win over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night.With the game tied 2-2, Cameron Dawes reached third in the twelfth inning.Shuman then hit the ball to Hector Neris (9-5), who made a bad throw to home, allowing Geloff to score. The error sent Cameron to third base as the ball rolled into the infield.With the fans in the corners, Allen threw a throw to drive Cameron away, allowing Cameron to score and put the Athletics up 4-2. “It went well,” said team manager Mark Coetzee. “Daz really hits… We had some guys out there that could hit and they did a good job with Shuman and Allen. “We had a chance to run.” The team’s defense pulled away from 12 possessions, three hits later.
