Woman Charged After Police Discover Two Deceased Dogs in Her Zion National Park Cabin…

Zion National Park, Utah—A woman is facing serious charges after authorities discovered two deceased dogs in her cabin lounge at Zion National Park. Park rangers were first alerted when campers reported a foul smell emanating from the cabin, located in a secluded area of the park.

Upon investigation, rangers found the animals’ bodies in the lounge, the room littered with dog toys and evidence suggesting the dogs had been abandoned for days. Officials noted that the conditions inside were appalling, with the lounge covered in waste, and temperatures had reached unsafe levels due to the closed environment.

The 41-year-old woman, identified as a frequent visitor to the park, claimed she had left the dogs behind due to a sudden emergency. However, according to preliminary investigations, the dogs may have been left alone for an extended period. Park authorities emphasized that leaving animals unattended, especially in isolated park areas, is strictly prohibited.

Following her arrest, the woman was charged with animal cruelty and neglect. Zion National Park officials expressed sadness over the incident, reminding visitors of their responsibility to care for their pets in park facilities.
