Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns’ star running back, suffered a major knee injury during the 2023 NFL season. He tore multiple ligaments—his ACL, MCL, and PCL—on his left knee, the same one he previously injured in 2015. This incident forced Chubb to miss the remainder of the 2023 season and required extensive recovery efforts, including multiple surgeries and rigorous rehabilitation. At the start of the 2024 season, he was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, meaning he had to miss at least the first few games of the year.

Despite the severity of the injury, Chubb’s recovery has been faster than initially expected. He resumed practice in October 2024, opening a three-week period for him to test his readiness before being activated for game play. His return to full practices and coach Kevin Stefanski’s optimistic comments suggest that Chubb is close to returning to the field. While there were initial uncertainties regarding his fitness to play an entire game, reports indicate that he is gearing up for an official comeback.

If Chubb returns soon, it will be noteworthy as he would become one of the few players to successfully recover from two major knee reconstructions on the same leg, a testament to his resilience and physical conditioning. However, given the nature of his injuries, he may initially face limitations in playtime as the Browns evaluate his stability and performance on the field.
