BREAKING NEWS: After publicly displaying the + pride flag, Luka Doncic formally confirmed he is an LGBTQ+ practitioner, during a press section with ESPN correspondent…

With a trip to the Western Conference Finals the season before and a complete absence from the NBA playoffs last season, nobody really knew what to anticipate from Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in 2023–2024.

When the Mavericks acquired fellow superstar Kyrie Irving prior to the NBA trade deadline in 2022–23, it was anticipated that his arrival would be a game-changer. However, the team swiftly collapsed, leaving many to speculate that the new dynamic combo would not work in Dallas.

Luckily for the Mavericks, Doncic and Irving turned the tide this past season and helped them make it back to the postseason. They then went on an amazing run in the playoffs that saw them face the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Dallas has a bright future ahead of them even if the Mavericks lost in five games to a superior Celtics team in the end. However, Doncic faced a difficult choice this summer over whether to play for Slovenia at the Olympics following a demanding 2023–24 season.

According to Forbes’ Evan Sidery, Doncic has chosen to represent his nation in Paris, France, next month, despite having recently completed the longest NBA season of his career.

This is obviously fantastic news for the Slovenian national team, as it increases their prospects of competing with the United States and other nations that are anticipated to be formidable rivals.

The Mavericks, however, may not be too like of this concept because it would further tax Doncic’s health after such a long season—especially considering the injuries he sustained during the postseason.

Barkley was correct; despite SGA’s consistently outstanding 30-point performances, the Thunder fell short in Game 5 despite an outstanding performance by Doncic. Not a single player on the OKC team could score even half as many points as SGA. To stay in the series, the team must step up and support its top scorer. Not just the fans gained faith in the Oklahoma City Thunder following their victory in game 4. Charles Barkley, a Hall of Fame player, also began to have faith in the squad after he projected that they would win Game 5 at home. But the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic showed up strong to shatter Barkley’s projections. With their victory over the Thunder, the Dallas Mavericks now lead the second-round series 3-2. With a triple-double, Luka Doncic was the primary contributor to the victory. The celebrity figure did not hesitate to respond wittyly when asked about Charles Barkley’s prognosis. Doncic responded in a positive manner, showing that he did not take the forecast personally.

Perhaps he can repeat that in the upcoming game, increasing the likelihood that we’ll prevail. That’s all, though. I have no idea what to say. Luka Doncic during an NBA media conference on TNT

Like many others, Doncic expressed his affection for the four seasoned hosts of “Inside the NBA” by showing them love. Following his answer to the forecast, the Mavericks security officer kindly instructed the reporter to deliver his regards to the staff and visitor Draymond Green.

After the game, Barkley acknowledged his error, so there is undoubtedly no animosity between them. Chuck declared that Doncic was “clearly wrong” after applauding his “fantastic” performance. With a dominant 30-point triple-double, Doncic led the Mavericks to victory while the Thunder struggled for the majority of the game.

According to Charles Barkley, the OKC Thunder “got lucky” in their victory in Game 4. Game 4 gave Barkley the confidence that Thunder will win in Game 5. In the fourth game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played a fantastic game that helped the Thunder tie the series. A game-high 34 points were scored by the MVP contender. Barkley said that although the star had taken charge of the game, the guard still needed support from his teammates.

Barkley acknowledged that SGA was responsible for the Game 4 victory at Inside the NBA, but he also acknowledged that the Thunder profited from Doncic and Kyrie Irving’s absence. Despite having a bad shooting night, the explosive pair only managed 27 points between them. Tonight they were fortunate that Luka and Kyrie had a poor performance. However, Thunder aren’t doing as well as they were earlier in the playoffs. Through Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley
